Counterbalance Forklift Operative
An experienced counterbalance forklift operative is required for a well-established family run business, situated north of Norwich. We are looking for a highly competent forklift driver to work within our business. The potential candidate must hold a valid forklift license and have recent, relevant production experience.
We are a fencing and pallet timber processing company and have been established for 40 years. This position is ideal for someone looking to progress in the timber industry and who can retain a good level of product knowledge, whilst working at a safe and efficient manner.
Job type: Full time, permanent.
Rate of pay: Up to £30,000 per year depending on experience
Hours: 47.5 per week, Monday – Friday + Overtime when required
Holiday: 28 days per year, including Bank holidays, Fixed Christmas holiday.

As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, load, and unload materials in a warehouse setting. Your attention to detail and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our operations.
Duties:
– Operate a forklift to move materials within the warehouse
– Load and unload trucks using a forklift
– Transport materials to designated areas in the warehouse
– Stack and organize products in the warehouse
– Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
– Assist with inventory management as needed
– Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow
Skills:
– Proficient in operating a forklift and following safety procedures
– Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
– Mechanical knowledge to perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance
– Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tracking inventory
– Basic math skills for inventory counting and calculations
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials

- Ensuring machines within our Finishing Lines have a constant supply of timber
- Moving stock and products to keep production levels and lines stocked
- Removing items for the production lines and stacking items in its relevant department

- Fulfilling banksman duties
- Quality and stock control of all products
- Upholding the appropriate Health and Safety practices
- Manual handling of timber
- Working towards production targets and timed dispatches
- Taking pride in each assigned job and the working area, by maintaining a good level of house keeping
- Accepting goods in, checking related paperwork and offloading goods
- Managing site traffic
- Radio communication with members of staff
- Assist with stock counts
- Other forklift duties as assigned

Machine Operator/Manual Labourer – 35 hours per week
Machine operator / manual labourer required for a well-established family run business, situated north of Norwich. We are a fencing and pallet timber processing company and have been operating for 40 years. This position is ideal for someone looking to start and progress in the timber industry and who can retain a good level of product knowledge, whilst working in a safe and efficient manner.
The successful candidates will be operating specialist production machines and will be manual handling timber, contributing towards the creation of quality timber products, on time and to specification.
No previous experience is necessary as full on the job training will be provided.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Starting Rate of Pay: £11.70 per hour (includes a £0.50p per hour attendance bonus).
Hours:
- Monday – Friday
- 35 hours per week
- Either 07.00 – 14.30 or 09.30 – 17.00
- Additional hours can be worked if desired
Holiday: 28 days per year (including Bank Holidays, 10 days annual Christmas shutdown and 5 days summer shutdown)
Candidate must have own transport, as punctuality and attendance are very important.

- Operating CNC blade sharpening and servicing equipment in our Saw Servicing department.

Mechanical Plant Technician 44.5 hours per week
Mechanical Plant Technician required for a well-established family run business, situated north of Norwich. We are a fencing and pallet timber processing company and have been established for over 40 years and are looking for a competent technician/engineer to work within our business. The potential candidate must have previous experience and a keen interest in mechanical engineering. The position is full time.
We are looking to recruit a Mechanical Plant Technician to grow our existing team to maintain our extensive plant and machinery.
Hours: Monday – Friday 44.5hrs
Pay: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum depending on hours and experience.
Holidays: 28 days per annum including bank holidays, Christmas fixed.
Candidate needs to be able to work confidently and independently to a high standard.
Daily tasks will involve: – Pneumatics – fault diagnostics and repairs, hydraulics – fault diagnostics and repairs, welding, heavy plant repairs, servicing, changing bearings, changing sawblades and cutters, diagnostics and repairs on modern PLC controlled machinery. Understanding of Electrical control systems would be a benefit.
Duties to include general machine repairs and working to a maintenance schedule.
Due to the nature of the business, candidate must demonstrate safe working practices and awareness of certain health and safety regulations and protocols. The duties will cover a wide range of machinery and tasks both indoors and outdoors.
You will be working alongside our existing experienced sawmill engineers, all training will be given. The role will entail the individual to prioritise workload and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.
